Korean Childhood Game
A Korean children's game of flicking janggi pieces
Janggi alkkagi is alkkagi played with a janggi board and janggi pieces instead of go stones. Flicking a piece with a finger to push the opponent's off the board is the same, but the pieces make it feel quite different.
Janggi pieces are octagonal, so they travel differently from round go stones after a collision, and they come in three sizes — which piece to strike with, and which to aim at, becomes a plan of its own.
Select one of your pieces, pull back opposite to the direction you want and release, and it slides that way with that much force. A piece fully off the board is gone, and you win by clearing every opposing piece or by knocking the opposing general out for the third time.
